It’s a human skeleton from Dover Hill Anglo-Saxon cemetery in Folkestone.
The cemetery was discovered during road widening in 1906 and 36 graves were excavated; there had been one or two graves found years before but not the whole cemetery.
This skeleton is on display at Folkestone Museum and it's the skeleton of an Anglo-Saxon lady.
The small rusty object is an iron knife, lying on the left side of the skeleton and in her hand we think is a very simple door key. Brooches and beads were also found with the body.
