WW2 activity 7: East Kent land girls victory party

Re-create the Victory Party enjoyed by East Kent Land Girls in Hythe and Folkestone in 1946, including tea at the Stade Park Hotel (with period food, music, speeches, dances, WW2 songs and lots of bunting) and a theatrical tableau - Salute to the Land Army.

Including tea at the Stade Park Hotel (with period food, music, speeches, dances, WW2 songs and lots of bunting) and including a theatrical tableau - Salute to the Land Army highlighting the many important roles undertaken by them during the war.
Girls may come dressed as Land Girls (in uniform or ‘dressed up’ for a 1940s party. Boys may attend in uniform (as WW2 soldiers, sailors or airmen) or in 1940s style jacket and tie.
